National Recovery and Resilience Plan objectives

The European Union has allocated 191.5 billion euros to Italy for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) through grants and loans from the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), the fund dedicated to countering the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Department of Civil Protection coordinates the interventions in support of areas affected by disasters. A total of €1,200 million is allocated for the rehabilitation of damaged structures and infrastructure and the reduction of residual risk according to local investment plans under Mission 2, Component 4 of the PNRR, including €400 million for "existing" or already started projects and €800 million for "new projects"
